Peter Lloyd could face 10 months

| 2

Peter Lloyd, the ABC journalist arrested in Singapore last month, could face 10 months in prison for possession of drugs. A Singaporean man who said he bought drugs from Lloyd has already been jailed for 10 months. The New Delhi-based foreign correspondent still faces a number of related charges,
Lloyd, 41, also faces charges of possessing and consuming the stimulant as well as possessing drug paraphernalia stained with banned substances. If convicted of the trafficking charge, he faces between five and 20 years behind bars and five to 15 strokes of the cane. He faces 10 years in prison, a $S20,000 ($15,000) fine or both if convicted of the consumption charge. link

You've got the story backwards. Lloyd hasn't been jailed for 10 months. The man who alledges Lloyd sold him the drug is the one who has been jailed. It's clear in the article you link to.
