The week ahead at the Frontline Club

Next week’s First Wednesday discussion will bring together a panel of experts to examine the recent uprisings in Tunisia and their likely impact on the region. We will be looking at demonstrations that followed in the Middle East and asking if the domino effect is an accurate explanation, what are the implications for the region?

Tomorrow night our January Club Quiz will be hosted by historical crime writer and former editor of Newsnight, David Dickinson.

The highly entertaining cartoonist Martin Rowson will be with us for our In the Picture event to discuss the power of satire and his work capturing and interpreting political events since 1982.

To mark the 39th anniversary since Bloody Sunday on 30 January we will be screening Bloody Sunday – A Derry Diary, a documentary following the victims’ families’ long search for the truth.

Our screening on Monday 31 January is Shooting Poverty, three independently produced short docs exposing the true cost of armed violence on people living in poverty in Burundi, India and Brazil.
