Sunday Screening – Camp Victory Afghanistan

Screening November 21, 2010 4:00 PM

Camp Victory Afghanistan gets at the reality on the ground of the US/NATO "Exit Strategy" from Afghanistan. Made  over the course of five years,  the film follows a battle-hardened Afghan General and the steady stream of U.S. National Guard soldiers deployed to train him and his army.  It is the first film to examine the reality of building a functioning Afghan Military – but it is also a story about friendship and the unlikely bonds that form in war.

Thoughtfully filmed and carefully handled, Camp VIctory Afghanistan does not advocate or condemn, but simply tells the story of the difficult, tedious, and necessary task of building the Afghan Army to fight against an increasingly powerful insurgency
