Screening: Enemies of Happiness

Enemies of Happiness, shortlisted to win the International Premiere Award at this year’s One World Media Awards, follows Malalai Joya on the campaign trail in the run-up to the first democratic parliamentary election in Afghanistan for over 30 years.

It takes the viewer to the heart of daily life in Afghanistan, and offers a revelatory portrait of the immense personal courage and conviction of a young woman and her campaign to win the hearts of voters.
