Journalists at Liberia Truth and Reconciliation hearings

This week Robin White, the former Editor of the BBC World Service's daily English programmes for Africa, testified at the ongoing Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Thematic hearings following the war in Liberia,
[White said] he had no knowledge whether his interviews of rebel leaders during the Liberian conflict helped to fuel the civil conflict. He said his interviews were intended to expose those behind the incident and report the truth, even though he admitted that his interviews might have been used by Charles Taylor’s rebels to strengthen their positions. At the same time, U.S based Liberian journalists Kwame Clement, Dr. Isaac Bantu and William Burke of the CNN Wednesday testified at the thematic hearing. link
