Snappers speak

The British Journal of Photography is holding a series of lectures this month. Among the snappers set to speak is Sean Smith. Sean works for The Guardian and previously spoke at the Frontline Club. He is currently in Iraq,
Among the [speakers] will be two of Britain’s top portrait photographers, Harry Borden and Alastair Thain, who will be speaking on Friday 27 June, together with Guardian shooter Sean Smith (subject to availability, as he’s currently on assignment in Iraq), and Jess Crombie, head of photography at WaterAid. The talks begin on the previous day (26 June) with a keynote address by Hasselblad CEO Christian Poulsen, followed by National Portrait Gallery curator and freelance art director Anne Braybon. Paul Foster, director of photography at Getty Images, will also be present to explain how the agency uses lifestyle trends analysis to inform its photo shoots. link
