The ashes of New Zealand-born war correspondent Kate Webb were scattered on Wellington Harbour Tuesday, 37 years after she first read her death notices in the world's newspapers. Webb, who was widely regarded as one of the most remarkable women in her field, died a year ago in Australia of bowel cancer, aged 64. Her family had already held a memorial service for her in 1971 after the first death notices appeared following her capture by North Vietnamese troops in Cambodia. linkJust last week Mushtaq Yusufzai was announced as the winner of the inaugural Kate Webb Award.
