Author and journalist Eve-Ann Prentice died this week aged 55 after a four-year battle with cancer. Eve-Ann, who has a house in Albert Street, St Albans, lived in the city until her marriage to Irishman Aidan Morrin more than a year ago. She then moved to live in Drogheda with her husband. Eve-Ann was foreign correspondent for many years working for The Times covering The Balkans which was her "patch". She was injured in May 1999 when the car she was travelling in was hit during a Nato air strike in Kosovo. Her driver was killed and she was showered with depleted uranium. She later wrote a book called One Woman's War recounting her experiences during that period in her life which was published by Duckworth Publishing with a foreword by Simon Jenkins of The Times. link

Hi, I am Aidan Morrin, Eve-Ann's husband. I would just like to point out a small, but to me not inconsequential mistake in your article on Eve-Ann. Eve-Ann came to live with me in Drogheda,Ireland in the early part of 2005, more than a year BEFORE we got married on 15th August 2006. She rented out her house in Albert Street from early 2005 but did not live there. She passed away on 20th September 2007 having spent two and a half years living in Ireland.
